Cosmetec Japan's central research institute was opened in 1913, and we take great pride in it having the longest history in Japan as a specialist cosmetic research institute. Today, however, the company has reinvented itself as one of the most advanced research institutes in Japan, with the latest facilities and having incorporated new ideas and concepts. (The laboratory uses a design by the world famous architectural firm, Kornberg Associates.)

Cosmetec Japan operates on the principle of "providing high quality OEM cosmetics that can satisfy the needs of both client companies and their end users." In looking to achieve this, the company's central research institute carries out repeated improvements to its formulas until the required product has been developed and in producing original cosmetics that are of the highest quality. Based on the company's experience and performance in this industry and extensive database of ingredients, we have the facilities to carry out batch testing and testing of samples to ensure that our products have been comprehensively examined for safety.

EBC Implementation Promotion Division

Evidence Based Cosmetics (EBC) refers to cosmetics that have been verified as having a medicinal effect that is proven on a scientific basis. At Cosmetec Japan's EBC Implementation Promotion Division, the company uses a variety of instruments and technology to carry out analytical measurement of the effectiveness of products that are expected by our customers. This is complemented by the use of the laboratory's constant temperature and humidity room, in which we can analyze products and ingredients with an extremely high degree of accuracy.

MTC division responsible for overall quality assurance

Complete Quality Assurance System

The company acquired the international standard for quality assurance-ISO9001-in 2000, and from 2004-in an attempt to promote further improvements in quality in direct management control-the company established the Materials Testing Center (MTC) division as the core administrative division of the company. While ensuring that the company's products and systems comply with the revised Pharmaceutical Affairs Law's Good Quality Practice (GQP), Good Vigilance Practice (GVP), and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), this department is also responsible for handling customer enquiries, which range from complaints to consultation over specific products, and strives to implement quality assurance from the standpoint of the customer.
